Los Montesinos lies between Torrevieja and Guardamar, behind the salt lakes. Originally an agricultural town, the expanding tourist industry is now the main focus for the town’s inhabitants.  The beaches of Guardamar are just a short ten minute drive away, close enough for easy access yet far enough away not to have to deal with the hustle and bustle which the summer months can bring to the coastal towns.

Los Montesinos is served by Torrevieja, 8km away, although with a superb and varied assortment of restaurants, tapas bars and cafeterias,  you need not leave this picturesque village. The village is also home to many independent shops owned by the local residents where one is able to purchase their local produce. Recent additions to the town include a large Supervalue supermarket for your weekly shopping. There is also a market  held every Friday evening.

The town recently benefitted from a brand new medical centre and new high school proving that the local council are moving with the times and are catering for all of their residents, old and young.
Los Montesinos is popular for its’ outstanding fiestas throughout the year , particularly during the Easter period.

The town also holds its own celebrations during the month of October which sees a park turned into an outdoor party for all of the residents to enjoy. A yearly Medieval fair is held selling traditional arts and crafts  at which you can experience the typical entertainment of this period by authentically dressed artists.
